Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I was looking for a Georgian restaurant in Cologne and just bumped into this gem on the way from my hotel to the center. I walked in and asked for a reservation for the same evening. We had a great dinner with my husband and kids. I am a huge fan of Georgian food and have tried it in many countries. This restaurant is a good example of a small and cosy place with great food and Georgian atmosphere. We have tried chachapuri, phkali, imeriuli and of course khinkali. It was all very delicious! Especially the khinkali - juicy and full of flavour. The waiter was super friendly. And we enjoyed our evening due to the food and his friendly service."
"Ended up here because we couldn't get a seat across the street. Glad it happened. If your looking for off the beaten path ethnic food, search no more. Not sure what out waitresses name was, but she explained as best she could in English and we ordered. The Grillteller mit Schweinenacken was excellent. Lots of flavor and plenty to eat. The spicy Ajika was an amazing dip. We also got an order of Khinkali Hackfleischfüllung was very good also. Very lively place. Glad we ended up here on accident."
"Visiting from America and realized this is food we've never had before! Tucked away, this spot is probably more known to locals but if you get a chance I would definitely visit! I only wish we had more time to try other items on the menu- we mostly tried dumpling type dishes which were all very savory. Most with delicious creamy cheese, I could eat this stuff everyday. Based on photos of other dishes, i know I would've enjoyed those too."
"This is the first time I visit a Georgian restaurant and the food was unexpectedly impressive. To be honest, I am definitely a meat lover but if I could only order one dish on the menu, I would order the vorspeisenteller. It’s vegan but its rich flavor provides fantastic experience to your tongue. This is the best appetizer I’ve ever have so far. The grilled lamb was perfectly done, even the potatoes. And khinkali are also perfectly seasoned and incredibly satisfying. Compared to previous dishes, the Teigboot is less impressive. it’s not that this cuisine is not good but others’ are so memorable. Thanks to the vorspeisenteller, we finished four dishes with two people, actually we would like to order more but it was too late. The atmosphere is also very cozy and staffs are welcoming. They all make the dining experience more enjoyable. :)"
"A little, mostly unknown gem. The food was delicious, the service friendly and the place welcoming. Toilets offered even toiletries that I found a nice touch. We ordered a mix of starters, grill plate, salads and some traditional Georgian food - all super tasty. I would describe this place as slow dinning in good sense, meaning you should not expect to get there and out quickly. The food took some time to arrive, but we were also not at any time rushed, all dishes were clearly explained. As thank you we got also digestive drink afterward. I can only recommend visiting this place."
"Absolutely delicous food in a wonderful surrounding. Service was excellent and food was so well prepared. The lamb stew was amazing and of course the Katchipuri was next level good. The balance of the 3 cheeses was perfect. One of the best meals we've had in Europe!"
"PERFECT PERFECT… I live in the Netherlands this is my third time visiting this restaurant in Koln. Wonderful atmosphere very cozy. Loved the food, staff is very nice ( especially loves to Tamar)… Definitely not my last coming, it is a great opportunity to experience the georgian culture in the middle of Europe."
"Great Georgian kitchen. I barely survived after Adjaruli and Bazhe. Great quality of Saperavi wines. Nino Katamadze and other Georgian music."
